In 2014, a group of interested neighbors began meeting to revitalize a neighborhood association which became dormant in the ’90s. These meetings led to Articles and Bylaws, in a Michigan non-profit organization refounded in 2018.

This association relied on volunteer boards and the direction of a small group of residents over a course of years. It struggled to create a sustainable operational entity and separate itself with an independent identity apart from its founders. In 2024, the association became dormant; it may be re-established at some future date or reformed with the benefit of lessons learned.  To be clear, “Hubbard Farms Neighborhood Association” is not currently a  legal entity.

Currently, neighborhood activities are organized by an interested coalition who operate under various banners, such as the Farmers Union.  This is meant to invoke the spirit of coalition through inclusion and mutual support. The Community Garden also has an active group of volunteers under the fiscal administration of Clark Park, and with whom the Farmers Union frequently collaborates.

Any and all neighbors are welcome to bring their interests and projects forward.
