We currently have five active committees. If you would like to be directly involved, please reach out to the chair.

Pets Committee. This committee is new for 2024 and is concerned with our furry Farmers. From creating pet events to a pet directory, these allies of four leggers promise to have a lot of fun. Contact the chair, Betsy Cooper, for information. PetChair@HFNA.info

Green Committee. This group is all about breaking it down and building it up – that is, composting and good soil!! Working in the community garden or on other growing projects in the neighborhood, this is the crew if you want to get your hands dirty. Contact the chair, Caton Arreguin, to participate. GreenChair@HFNA.info

Communication Committee. Social media, designing flyers, doing field outreach, creating web content, videos, pictures – all the things you’re already doing on your phone can now significantly contribute to making the neighborhood vibrant. If you’d like to be involved in this operational cornerstone, contact the chair, Marlena Hanlon. CommsChair@HFNA.info

Fundraising Committee. If you enjoy planning events, writing grants or working with other groups to make it rain, HFNA has a rain barrel lined up. Contact the chair, Nat Zorach, at Treasurer@HFNA.info.

Strategic Plan and Bylaws. It sounds like the worst, but it’s the foundation for the future. Collecting critical input from resident members, then translating it into a vision, plan and governance to manifest the collective aspiration requires both wonk and magician. The board as a whole is behind this effort, so just chime in to info@HFNA.info if you want to be more involved with this.
