Minutes of the Hubbard Farms Neighborhood Association meeting on July 20, 2021

Members Present: Martha Potere, Amy Amador, Matthew Fogarty, Deb Sumner

*Members Absent: Peter Landon, Adriana Zuniga, Monte Martinez, Anthony Benevides, Hannah Miller, Donovan McCarty

Residents Present: None

Others Present: Caitlin Stadler, Office of Stephanie Chang

  1. Welcome and Introductions
  2. Development Updates in Southwest
    1. Speed humps have been installed in Hubbard Farms
    2. Matt, Martha and Deb discussed the Broderick – Martha will try and have an update on the project for next month’s meeting and place a brainstorming item on the agenda for this property, since it appears to have stalled once again
    3. Deb voiced her desire to restart the Housing and Development Committee; will reach out to former members of this working group
  3. Board Election – Status Update
    1. Martha, Matt and Deb reviewed the 2021 Elections Sheet
    2. All tasks to be completed before the August Board Meeting were highlighted; Matt and Deb confirmed their ability to complete each task in time
    3. Deb suggested adding some relevant skills and experience to each candidate’s bio.; once all nominations are received, Matt will look into how best to add this information to the election flyer
    4. Deb also had concerns about 7 new members having the same term length, which would potentially mean all leaving the Board at the same time in the future
    5. Deb also wondered whose terms were expiring and who would be staying on the Board into 2022 – amador.amy@gmail.comis there a Board roster available somewhere?
  4. Resident Issues
    1. Office of Stephanie Chang
      1. Caitlin Stadler shared two community events coming up in District 1
        1. Community Baby Shower on July 24th from 2-4pm (more info. here)
        2. Outdoor Resource Fair on July 30th from 3 – 6pm at Nagel Park (3100 Wabash St.)

*Please note that on 6/29/2021, Robert Rodriguez tendered his official resignation from the Board
