- Invest Detroit – Mike Smith Request
- EL describes Invest Detroit to group. Adding some language from past communication.
- Christina – balance at that table might be strange. What if someone from Hubbard Farms facilitate? Do we have a mission or something similar that can help guide our participation with a table like this? Will SW Solutions still be involved in the development?
- Ryan – visual mapping could be a good process (how does this all fit together)?
- For Deb, historic preservation is key. Historic Preservation is also a key mission within HFNA’s Articles of Incorp. Deb also stated she is not opposed to new development but if we need to prioritize…
- EL – there are other options for prioritization: LISC’s Planning Process, Vista Project
- Christina and others – If there is something going forward, there needs to be a longer process with the community (Broderick/Murray)
- ID needs the neighborhood not to object to what they’re doing . . .
- Next steps:
- EL will ask MS to include Christina deRoos in discussion, along with a representative from the City of Detroit (meet for coffee first). I want to recommend that the City Rep. actually be a City Planner such as Steve Lewis or Karen Gage or _______. I am still coordinating with Steve Lewis to meet on the “truck re-routing concerns in HF & surrounding SWD streets” and Ryan M. & Jinny Z. have agreed to meet with Lewis also.
- Ask MS to participate in November meeting
- EL will send out list(s) of priorities . . .
- Christina deRoos can reach out to see if there’s a good survey available for n’hood priorities
